Proposed criminalization of water consumption is clearly against the theory of the use of criminal law and it is a permanent blow to prosperity and economic development of Cyprus society.

EPKK calls upon the Leaders of Parliamentary parties to voice a fierce opposition to the idea of criminalization of water consumption and to scrap the pending amendments of the law.

Να υποβάλουν την παραίτησή τους προκειμένου να δοθεί νέα "ενισχυμένη" εντολή από τον κυπριακό λαό για να μπορέσει να λυθεί το κυπριακό πρόβλημα, καλεί τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας και τους Βουλευτές το Ενωμένο Ρεπουμπλικανικό Κόμμα.

Με ανοιχτή επιστολή του προς τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας και τα κόμματα ΔΗΣΥ, ΑΚΕΛ, ΔΗΠΑ, ΕΔΕΚ και ΕΛΑΜ, την οποία κοινοποιεί και στην Πρεσβεία των ΗΠΑ στη Λευκωσία, το κόμμα επικαλείται την ομιλία του Αμερικανού Αντιπροέδρου JD Vance στη Διάσκεψη του Μονάχου για την Ασφάλεια, ο οποίος είπε ότι χρειάζεται "δημοκρατική εντολή" για να επιτευχθεί οτιδήποτε τα επόμενα χρόνια.

Σύμφωνα με το κόμμα, ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας εκλέγηκε με τις ψήφους μόλις του 16% του πληθυσμού, ενώ πολλοί βουλευτές μπήκαν στο Κοινοβούλιο κάτω από την ομπρέλα των κομμάτων τους και όχι με λαϊκή εντολή. Επομένως, καλεί σε παραίτηση των παραπάνω και σε πρόωρες εκλογές, για ένα "δημοκρατικό δημοψήφισμα εμπιστοσύνης" τόσο για τη θέση του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας, όσο και για τα μέλη του Κοινοβουλίου, προκειμένου να μπορεί να λυθεί το Κυπριακό τα επόμενα χρόνια.

Δημοψήφισμα ζητά το ΕΡΚΚ για έργο Great Sea Interconnector

Τη διεξαγωγή δημοψηφίσματος ζητά το Ενωμένο Ρεπουμπλικανικό Κόμμα Κύπρου (ΕΡΚΚ) για το έργο Great Sea Interconnector, δηλώνοντας την έντονη δυσαρέσκειά του για τη δέσμευση της Κυβέρνησης να δαπανήσει €100 εκ., όπως αναφέρει σε ανακοίνωσή του.

Προειδοποιεί, δε, για συνέπειες από την υλοποίηση του έργου, όπως αστάθεια στις τιμές του ηλεκτρικού ρεύματος, αύξηση κόστους για καταναλωτές, μείωση του ενεργειακού αποθέματος της Κύπρου, συχνά black-out, επί μακρόν οικονομική επιβάρυνση του κράτους, ακόμα και χρεοκοπία της Kυβέρνησης και αναντικατάστατες, όπως λέει, απώλειες για τους επενδυτές.

Για το θέμα αυτό, όπως αναφέρει στην ανακοίνωσή του το ΕΡΚΚ, έχει απευθύνει επιστολή προς τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας και τον Γενικό Ελεγκτή, ζητώντας να ανοίξει δημόσια συζήτηση για τη μακροπρόθεση ενεργειακή πολιτική της Κύπρου, καθώς και τη διεξαγωγή δημοψηφίσματος, πριν την καταβολή οποιουδήποτε ποσού.

«Μήνυμα στήριξης» προς Κυπριακή Αστυνομία από ΕΡΚΚ για θάνατο αλλοδαπού

Το Ενωμένο Κυπριακό Ρεπουμπλικανικό Κόμμα έστειλε «μήνυμα στήριξης» προς την Κυπριακή Αστυνομία, καταδικάζοντας παράλληλα «την οργή των μέσων μαζικής ενημέρωσης για τις φερόμενες συνθήκες θανάτου» αλλοδαπού, σε ανακοίνωση που εξέδωσε τη Δευτέρα.

Στην ανακοίνωση γίνεται αναφορά σε «ευρεία κάλυψη από τα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης ενός ατυχήματος που φέρεται να είχε ως αποτέλεσμα το θάνατο» ενός αλλοδαπού άνδρα, περίπου στις 6 Ιανουαρίου 2025.

Το κόμμα καλεί τους πολιτικούς και τα ΜΜΕ να «μείνουν μακριά από τις καθημερινές υποθέσεις» της Αστυνομίας Κύπρου, «του μοναδικού θεσμού στην Κύπρο που απέδειξε, όλα αυτά τα χρόνια, την ύψιστη πίστη στην ίδια την ύπαρξη της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας».

Η Ελεγκτική Υπηρεσία δημοσίευσε την έκθεσή της για τον έλεγχο των εκλογικών εξόδων των υποψηφίων για τις προεδρικές εκλογές.

Η Ελεγκτική Υπηρεσία ήλεγξε τις εκθέσεις συνολικών εξόδων συνολικά 14 υποψηφίων, οι οποίοι κατέβαλαν δαπάνες συνολικού ύψους €3,5 εκατ. ΕΡΚΚ παρουσιάζει μηδενικές δαπάνες (politis.com.cy).

Σύμφωνα με τους υπολογισμούς μας αυτό το ποσό παρουσιάζεται ακριβώς τον ετήσιο προϋπολογισμό για τρόφιμα περισσότερων από 2000 ατόμων που είχαν ανάγκη.

Το ΕΡΚΚ προωθεί την ιδεολογία ότι οποιοσδήποτε υποψήφιος δεν πρέπει να επιβαρύνει τους πολίτες.

Περιμένουμε στοιχεία από άλλους υποψήφιους ότι τα χρήματα των εκλογικών εκστρατειών τους έφτασαν ή δαπανήθηκαν στους ανθρώπους που έχουν ανάγκη.
